Description

Ricotta Meatballs are a delightful fusion of creamy ricotta cheese and savory meats, making them a family favorite for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 15 oz. ricotta cheese
  • 1 lb. ground chuck (80% lean)
  • ½ lb. ground pork (or sausage)
  • 1 egg (whisked)
  • ½ cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon each: minced garlic, dried basil, oregano, parsley
  • 32 oz. marinara sauce
  • ½ cup olive oil (divided)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add ¼ cup olive oil and pour in the marinara sauce; allow it to simmer.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, ground meats, egg, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, herbs, seasonings, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 400°F for about 25 minutes or sauté in the skillet until browned on all sides.
