- 1 lb. ground chuck (80% lean)
- ½ lb. ground pork (or sausage)
- 1 egg (whisked)
- ½ cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon each: minced garlic, dried basil, oregano, parsley
- 32 oz. marinara sauce
- ½ cup olive oil (divided)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add ¼ cup olive oil and pour in the marinara sauce; allow it to simmer.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, ground meats, egg, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, herbs, seasonings, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake at 400°F for about 25 minutes or sauté in the skillet until browned on all sides.
