Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, water, and yeast in a mixing bowl; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, cocoa powder, red food coloring, and half the flour; mix until smooth.
  3. Gradually add remaining flour to form a soft dough; knead for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl; cover and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Prepare filling by mixing softened butter with brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  6. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread filling evenly on top.
  7. Roll tightly into a log and slice into approximately 12 pieces.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish; cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
