  • 4 (6 oz.) salmon filets
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 tsp water
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ginger (minced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water. Combine with remaining sauce ingredients in a saucepan; simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Line a baking sheet with oiled foil; place salmon filets and baste with half the sauce.
  4. Bake for about 14 minutes until flaky.
  5. Broil for one minute after basting again with remaining sauce.
  6. Serve over steamed rice and garnish as desired.
