Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, grated
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (for sauce)
- 2 teaspoons ginger, grated
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon canola oil
- 1 green onion, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Mix ground beef, Shaoxing wine, soy sauce, chili flakes, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, breadcrumbs, egg, and green onions in a bowl until combined.
- Form the mixture into 24 meatballs.
- Cook meatballs in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned on all sides.
- Prepare the sauce by mixing brown sugar, soy sauce, water, garlic, ginger, cornstarch slurry until smooth; pour over meatballs.
- Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
