  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 16 oz ground beef (85% lean)
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (shredded)
  • Herbs and spices (salt, pepper, oregano)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook lasagna noodles in salted water until al dente. Drain and cool under cold water.
  2. In a pan, brown the ground beef with onions and garlic. Add marinara sauce and seasonings; simmer briefly.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, parmesan, mozzarella, and parsley until combined.
  4. Spread cheese filling over each noodle, add meat sauce down the center, then roll up each noodle carefully.
  5. Place rolled noodles seam-side down in a casserole dish lined with some meat sauce. Top with remaining sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for about 40 minutes; uncover and broil for a few minutes until golden.
