Ingredients
- 200 grams ground pork
- 400 grams lean ground beef
- 1 large egg
- 100 grams crustless bread
- 125 ml white wine
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 8–10 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork and ground beef. Add egg, soaked crustless bread, minced onion, garlic, cumin, oregano, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape mixture into approximately 15 small meatballs (about 2 inches in diameter).
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook meatballs in batches for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt butter and stir in flour to create a roux. Gradually add hot water or stock and whisk until smooth. Stir in lemon juice and season to taste.
- Return meatballs to the pan and let simmer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
