  • ¼ cup salted butter (melted)
  • 10 ounces French bread baguette (sliced)
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ¼ cup Irish whiskey
  • 1¾ cups whole milk or cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs (slightly beaten)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and French bread slices until coated. Fold in raisins and add Irish whiskey and milk/cream.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together sugar, vanilla extract, evaporated skim milk, and eggs until combined. Mix into the bread mixture.
  4. Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake for about 60 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. For the caramel sauce, heat water, sugar, cinnamon, and butter in a saucepan until dissolved. Stir in cream cheese until smooth, then add Irish whiskey and milk/cream.
