- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (room temperature)
- 8 oz Cream Cheese (room temperature)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups Sifted Powdered Sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and spices.
- In another bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, molasses, egg, warm water, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet mix until just blended.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of batter onto the baking sheets and bake for 10 minutes or until springy to the touch.
- Allow to cool before making the frosting by beating cream cheese and butter; add vanilla and powdered sugar until fluffy.
