- 500 g all-purpose or bread flour
- 1 tbsp instant yeast
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 2/3 cups water
- For topping: 1 egg yolk, 1 tbsp yogurt, 1 tbsp water, 1 tsp sesame seeds, 1 tsp nigella seeds
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
- Add water and stir until the dough forms; transfer to a stand mixer.
- Knead on medium-high speed for 8-10 minutes until you have a soft dough.
- Cover and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide into two pieces; shape into balls.
- Roll each ball into a circle about ½ inch thick and let rest while preheating the oven.
- Prepare egg wash by mixing egg yolk, yogurt, and water in a bowl.
- Indent circles with your fingertips and brush with egg wash; sprinkle with sesame and nigella seeds.
- Bake at 225°C (440°F) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
