  • 1 sheet puff pastry (17.3 ounces/490g)
  • 1 wheel (8 ounces/227g) brie cheese
  • ½ cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut brie into 24 small cubes and set aside.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface, then cut into 24 squares.
  4. Press each square into the cups of a mini muffin tin or directly onto the baking sheet.
  5. Place one brie cube in each pastry cup and top with cranberry sauce (about ½ teaspoon).
  6. Whisk egg with water and brush over exposed pastry edges.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Cool slightly before serving; garnish with nuts or herbs if desired.
