  • 1 sheet Frozen puff pastry
  • 4 oz Cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 3 TBSP White granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 Large egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tsp Water (for egg wash)
  • 1/3 cup White granulated sugar (for blueberry preserves)
  • 1 TBSP Water (for blueberry preserves)
  • 1 TBSP Milk (for glaze)
  • 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and thaw puff pastry.
  2. Roll out pastry on a floured surface until about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. In a saucepan, cook blueberries with sugar and water until thickened.
  5. Cut pastry into rectangles; fill with cream cheese mixture and blueberry preserves.
  6. Fold corners towards the center to create pockets; brush with egg wash.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Drizzle cooled danishes with powdered sugar glaze.
