  • 4 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup sifted flour (for topping)
  • ½ cup butter (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss blueberries with flour and sugar until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the blueberry mixture in a buttered 8" by 8" baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, combine sifted flour, softened butter, sugar, salt, and baking powder using a pastry blender until crumbly. Stir in vanilla extract.

  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes until the topping is golden brown.
  7. Cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before serving.
