- 1 inch piece fresh ginger, minced
- 1/2 large white onion, cut into strips
- 2 medium bell peppers, cut into strips
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Cut chicken into strips and pat dry. Marinate with cornstarch, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and black pepper for 10–15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together chicken broth, oyster sauce, soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper to make the sauce.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated chicken until browned; set aside.
- Stir-fry garlic and ginger in remaining oil until fragrant. Add onions and bell peppers; cook until crisp-tender.
- Pour the sauce over vegetables and simmer until thickened. Return chicken to skillet and mix well.
