Description

Beef with oyster sauce is a quick and delicious dish that brings together tender beef and crisp asparagus in a savory-sweet brown sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings, this recipe is not only easy to prepare but also packed with flavor and nutrition.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef flank steak (or skirt steak)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 lb asparagus
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 thumb ginger
  • Peanut oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef in baking soda, soy sauce, peanut oil, and cornstarch for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Mix chicken broth, oyster sauce, soy sauces, sugar, cornstarch, and sesame oil in a small bowl to create the sauce.
  3. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook marinated beef until golden brown on both sides; transfer to a plate.
  4. Sauté onions, garlic, and ginger in the same skillet until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  5. Add asparagus and cook for another minute until slightly softened.
  6. Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet and stir until thickened. Return beef to the pan and mix well.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
