Ingredients
- 8 cups apples (peeled and thinly sliced)
- 3/4 cup butter (softened)
- 1 cup granulated sugar (divided)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (divided)
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1 tsp cinnamon (divided)
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- For the crust, beat together softened butter and 1/2 cup granulated sugar until fluffy. Mix in flour, salt, and cinnamon until combined. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes.
- While crust is baking, mix sliced apples with remaining granulated sugar, flour, and cinnamon.
- For the streusel topping, combine oats, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a bowl; cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- Spread apple mixture over baked crust and sprinkle streusel on top. Bake for an additional 45 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
