  • lbs ground beef
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 (10 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • Optional: 1 cup mushrooms, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4-6 oval patties.
  3. Sear patties in a skillet over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Transfer to the baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, milk, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the patties and top with sliced onions and mushrooms if desired.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30-35 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
