Ingredients
- 8 oz rice noodles
- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar or lime juice
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Toss the sliced beef in cornstarch until evenly coated.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over high heat. Sear the beef for 2–3 minutes per side until browned; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil and sauté red bell pepper and broccoli for 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp. Add green onions, garlic, and ginger; cook for another 1–2 minutes.
- Whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
- Return the beef to the skillet along with cooked noodles and pour the sticky sauce over everything. Toss well to coat.
- Serve immediately in bowls garnished with extra green onions.
