  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp salted butter, divided
  • 12 tsp garlic powder
  • 12 tsp onion powder
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 12 tsp pepper
  • 12 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 carrots, peeled and diced
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 heaping tbsp chicken bouillon + 2 1/2 cups water or 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups freshly grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with olive oil and spices. Cook in a large skillet until browned and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté carrots and onions in butter until softened; add garlic.
  3. Add orzo and toast briefly before adding chicken broth and broccoli.
  4. Simmer until orzo is tender, then stir in heavy cream and cheeses until melted.
  5. Return chicken to the pan and mix thoroughly before serving.
