- 10 oz andouille sausage
- 1 lb skinless chicken breasts
- 1 lb raw shrimp
- 1 cup chopped green peppers
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups frozen chopped okra
- 24 oz chicken broth
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon Creole seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (Optional)

Instructions
- Brown the sliced sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes.
- In the same skillet, create a roux by melting butter and olive oil, then whisking in flour until deep brown.
- Stir in vegetables (green peppers, celery, onion) into the roux and cook until softened.
- Add spices and minced garlic to the roux; mix well.
- Transfer everything to a slow cooker and add chicken broth and okra.
